The guide book, also known as "Mommy It's a Renoir," presents a series of graded activities using small prints of famous artworks. Preschoolers begin with enjoyable matching games. The exercises increase in complexity as older students pair different paintings by the same artist, then learn to group paintings by features such as artist, style, school and subject. Activities are designed to make use of the 30 full-color postcard-sized prints in each of the accompanying Child Size Masterpieces books, or can be adapted to any collection of art images, postcards, prints, magazine pictures or posters.
