Klutz developed this product as a response to school groups coming to their Palo Alto, California headquarters on field trips. To help kids document their visit, Klutz set up a build-a-book studio, filled with arts and crafts stuff and small blank books. Once the studio was opened, the field trip kids would spent about two minutes watching the office staff and about two hours building their own books in the space next door.
