Wallpaper Art
Visit almost any home decorating store...places that sell carpet and paint and wallpaper. Ask if your classroom, or homeschool group, or home art center, can have an old wallpaper sample book. They'll probably be glad to give you one or more!
There's about a zillion things you can do with pieces of wallpaper. Here's just one idea...make a fancy hat collage. Draw a face on a sheet of paper...perhaps a picture of yourself. Then cut pieces of the patterned wallpaper into different shapes and glue them onto your drawing to create the wildest, fanciest, strangest hat you can imagine.
Materials: Paper, crayons or felt pens, glue, wallpaper sample book.
Time:
10-15 minutes.
