The Scratchboard Art Gallery The theme for this KidsArt gallery presentation is "scratch art"...pictures made on a special kind of paper called scratchboard. All of these pictures were made by kids just like you! Scratchboard paper is made with two layers. The top layer is usually black, although it can be silver and gold, even pure white. The bottom layer is often multicolored, with bright patterns of red, blue and yellow. To make a picture, you scratch fine lines into the top layer, letting the under layer show through.
