Lindsay created a very beautiful and realistic painting of fish and sea creatures. She drew her picture first with pencil, and shaded it beautifully. You can see a lot of texturing in the sand, the scales of the goldfish, and the shells. Lindsay then decided to paint her drawing. Watercolor is transparent, so it paints right over a pencil drawing and allows the pencil lines to show through.
