Dolphin Collage

This beautiful collage was made by Jennifer Booth of Goodman, Missouri when she was 12. Jennifer collected several pictures of dolphins and the ocean from wildlife magazines. Then she cut her dolphin pictures into big pieces. She put all the pieces onto the table and moved them around until they fit together like a puzzle and created a design that she liked. Finally she glued the pieces onto a large sheet of paper. Notice how Jennifer made sure her pictures kept a straight horizon (the line where the ocean water meets the sky) even though many different photos went together to create that part of the collage.

You can mix several pictures together to make one active scene like Jennifer's Dolphin Collage. Just cut a collection of magazine pictures into big pieces, then move the pieces around on the table until you discover a design you like.
