Aric Chaltry from Marinette, Wisconsin, created this rainbow pine tree on a sheet of multicolored scratchboard paper when he was age 10. His teacher, Mrs. Lish at Peshtigo Public Schools bought the paper at an art supply store. Aaron used a special tool with a sharp point to scratch lines in the plain black top surface. The bright splotches of color underneath show through the scratches.
