Anna Reynolds from Neosho, Missouri, painted this jungle scene when she was 12. Palm fronds and purple flowers fill the picture. The golden yellow background makes the painting feel warm, like a steamy hot jungle day. The great artist Henri Rousseau created jungle paintings like this, filled with exotic plants and tropical animals. Yet it is said that Rousseau never left Paris, and found jungle plants only at the city botanical gardens. Try making a painting of a jungle landscape yourself...no matter where you live.

The Gouache Painting Set is the perfect material for making fine paintings like the one above. Gouache is a watercolor paint, but not transparent like regular watercolors. It brushes on smoothly and covers the paper and underlying paints well.
